Like most Saskatchewan communities, agriculture is the dominant sector in the Rosetown region.  Value added processing surrounds Rosetown, displaying the communities way of incorporating its dominant industry with innovation.

Rosetown has a developing manufacturing sector and an oil and gas industry slowing making its way closer to Rosetown.

Retail/service sector is prominent within the town, occupying most of the buildings on Main Street.

Being a central community makes Rosetown a great place for government services to be stationed. Both PFRA and Farm Credit Canada have offices in Rosetown.  And the head offices for Heartland Regional Health Authority and Sun West School Division are located in Rosetown.
