Great Plains College

Great Plains College delivers a wide variety of adult education programs and career services. The college has campuses across the region: Biggar, Gravelbourg, Kindersley, Maple Creek, Outlook, Rosetown, Shaunavon, Swift Current, Warman and a Learning Centre in Macklin.

Programs

University courses from the University of Saskatchewan and Regina and the First Nations University of Canada are offered through each of the campuses. Both the University of Saskatchewan and Regina offer video-conferencing, web based and multi-mode classes for the first year of university and some upper level classes, allowing students to stay close to home. The First Nations University of Canada also provides courses through video-conference teaching. Technical Programs from SIAST, Business Programs, and Health & Education Courses are also available to be taken on site at each of the campuses.

Six - week long online classes are available for a variety of non-credit classes as well as a variety of healthy lifestyle, creative and special event courses. To help a person increase their employability, JobStart Future Skills work-based training program, Community Works Program and Older Worker Project help a person increase their employability.

The Student and Career Services Centre provide career counselling and planning while the Learning Centre has literacy programs and GED preparation.

Rosetown Campus

The Great Plains College Rosetown Campus is located in the Rosetown Civic Centre at 1005 Main Street. The General Office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The Learning Centre is open free of charge on Wednesday from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm for anyone who may need help with GED preparation or literacy/reading. There are full-time and part-time programs, and specific interest courses available at the Rosetown Campus.
