Rosetown Leisure Aquatic Centre
Located at: 612 Highway 4 North, Rosetown The Rosetown Leisure Aquatic Centre (RLAC) is owned and operated by the Town of Rosetown. Open from the beginning of June to the end of August, the RLAC was one of Saskatchewan's first facilities to introduce an outdoor zero depth entry pool. There is a hot tub to relax in while the kids have fun in the pool and swimming lessons during the summer months for children. It is also home to the very successful Rosetown Royals Speed Swim Team. Located in the basement of the swimming pool is the Rosetown Gun Club shooting range. Summer season inquiries can be made directly to the pool at 882-2213; in the off season contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 882-2050. 2010 Season Communique - click here! 2010 RLAC Schedule (May 31st to Close)- click here! 2010 RLAC Brochure (prices, staff info, etc.) - click here! 2010 Swimming Lesson Registration Process for Red Cross Swimming Lessons & Bronze Courses at RLAC - Swimming Lesson Registration Night was held on May 26, 2010. Registrations after that point can be done at the Town Office. Please print off the brochure & registration form to complete the registration information. We are doing four lesson sets in the 2010 season; the same registration form can be used for the different lesson sets. Lesson Set Dates: June 14 to 25; July 5 to 16; July 19 to 30; August 9 to 20. Registrations for each lesson set must be received one week prior to the Lesson Start Date!!! What does this mean??? If you want to register for the June 14-25th lesson set the last date for registration is June 7/2010. Registration Form - click here! 2010 Season Ticket Pass - click here! For groups that are interested in booking the pool for events where they would be the only group in the pool (ie. scuba diving courses, reunions, weddings) the Town Council has adopted a rental policy (May/2010). To view this policy - click here! For groups that are interested in coming to the pool during public swimming when others are using the pool we do have a group rate!!! Groups will receive 10% off of their single admission price for their group. Example - 10 preschool @ $2.00/person = $20.00 @ 10% off = $18.00; 100 preschool @ $2.00/person = $200.00 @ 10% off = $180.00. Call ahead if you are bringing in a group. Birthday Party Booking - click here! Rosetown Arts CentreThe Arts Centre is a multi-use facility providing cultural opportunities for all ages. It is located in the basement of the Wheatland Regional Library and hosts art lessons, Arts Council, Photography Club and a Writers Group as well as the Annual Arts Council's Art Exhibition. Rosetown Seniors CentreOpened in 1977, the centre has regular activities including 2 pool tables, 3 shuffleboards, bingo, whist and cribbage. Other activities including the Seniors Choral Group practices, a wellness clinic, variety program and pot-luck suppers take place at the centre at various times during the month. Ball & Pin HouseThe Ball & Pin House offers a variety of activities. There are six 5-pin bowling lanes, two of which are bumper lanes that feature autoscoring and glow bowling. You need JavaScript enabled to view it For more information check out the website: www.lighthouserocks.net Prairie West Terminal Snow ParkThe snow park is located approximately 40 km northwest of Rosetown and offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Saskatchewan. There is state of the art snowmaking and professional grooming of the hills. The hill is at a vertical height of 300 ft. serviced by an 18 ft. T-bar and a 140 ft. carpet lift. For those new to skiing and snowboarding there are professional ski and snowboard instructors offering a range of lessons and a fully equipped rental shop with skis, snow blades, snowboards, and helmets. For the safety of everyone on the hill, qualified ski patrol professionals are on duty at all times. After your run on the hill you may want to relax in the fully licensed concession with great food or in the licensed Moose Crossing Lounge with a window view of the ski hill.
