Visiting Rosetown

Destination Sun West

What better place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city than the Sun West region, the sunniest spot in West Central Saskatchewan. Stroll down the historical walk on Main Street in Rosetown to see what life was like in the early 1900's or go back further in time to the first ancestors of this land at the Ancient Echoes Interpretive Centre near Herschel. Spend a day on a farm learning about the simple life or practice your swing at the many golf courses in the region. Whatever you choose to do, Destination Sun West is the place where sunny days are enjoyed to their fullest.

Rosetown Tourism Centre

The Rosetown Tourism Centre is open from the middle of May to the end of August and is located at the end of Main Street on Highway 7. Once a traditional one-room schoolhouse, the Tourism Centre offers souvenirs, memorabilia, information on tourist attractions, hard ice cream and an 18-hole mini golf. Souvenirs include:

  • Rosetown, Canada t-shirts
  • Rosetown hats
  • Saskatoon berry products
  • Key chains
  • Magnets
  • Flags
  • Postcards

The centre is staffed by friendly and helpful youth ambassadors willing to assist the many visitors to Rosetown. The majority of visitors come from Alberta and British Columbia but Rosetown has seen tourists from New Zealand, Russia, Alaska, Germany, Austria, Algeria and Switzerland. Come relax in the picnic area and enjoy the rose garden while the kids play in the playground or play a round of mini-golf.
