Fall 2018 By-election

Public notice is hereby given that the Town of Rosetown will be accepting nominations for the municipal by-election on October 24, 2018 (if required) to fill (1) vacant Councillor term that concludes in October 2020.


Nominations will be accepted, personally or by agent, with the Returning Officer, Michele Schmidt, during regular business hours at the Town Office (417 Main Street) between September 3 and September 18 and up until 4:00 p.m. on September 19, 2018.

Nomination forms may be obtained at the Town Office beginning September 4, 2018. Once completed and signed by five (5) electors, forms must be submitted to the Town Office.

Please note that, according to Bylaw No. 728-16, a Criminal Record Check is required with the submission of a Nomination Form.


Becoming an Elected Official is an important duty which requires certain qualifications and an individual who understands and respects the responsibilities and time commitment.
