Alley cleanup / tree pruning / tree removal
The Town of Rosetown is planning a general clean-up and maintenance of the back alleys this spring and fall, including tree pruning and removal where applicable.
There are several locations in Town where trees have grown into the alley and residents have built in garbage stands that extend into the back alley, which makes it difficult for equipment to maneuver through the alleys to complete snow removal, back-alley maintenance etc.
If residents have trees in their yards that are growing out into the alley and/or a built-in garbage stand within their fence which extends into the back-alley, the Town is asking for the trees to be pruned as soon as possible and the built-in garbage stands be removed. Tree branches can be disposed of at the Town’s Transfer Station, where they are accepted free of charge.
When landscaping your property, all trees etc. must be planted within your property lines. Please refrain from planting trees within the Town boulevards and back-alleys. The Town will complete an inspection of the trees that have been planted within the Town’s boulevards and back-alleys and if not removed by the resident, establish a plan to have these trees removed.
Trees overhanging into the alley, which have not been pruned, will be pruned by the Town.
Residents are encouraged to contact the Town Office at 882-2214 for further information, or
e-mail townofrosetown@sasktel.net .
