On behalf of the Rosetown Fire Department I would like to recognize the Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs board of directors for the incredible compassion and support they showed in the planning and delivering the memorial service for Fire Fighter Darrell Morrison.
The Chief Officers and fire fighters from all across North America that participated in the Honor Guard or just offering their condolences and support. To EMS services the RCMP and to Duayne McKay and his EMFS staff for their assistance and support.
To Biggar Fire Department for covering us the day of the accident and again with Elrose Fire Department to cover our service area the day of the funeral. We often say the fire service is one large family. Well we showed the world we are.
Pastor Dan Esau for his support of the Morrison Family and my Department.
Michele Schmidt and the staff at the Town of Rosetown and to Bob Bors and his staff from public works for helping anytime they were asked and for their assistance in the days following.
Michele Weber and her staff from West Central Crisis & Family Support who along with Barb Sanderson were there as soon as possible to be with my fire fighters and start the healing process.
The Town of Rosetown and area has been amazing. The community responded with care and compassion and provided us with whatever we needed.
I apologize if I have missed anyone or any organization that played a part in Fire Fighter Morrisons service.

Rest now my fallen brother
Lay soft your suffering back
Rest well and forever
Your memory shall not lack
Rest your tired hands
Wipe clean your weary brow
Rest with St. Florian
Your Spirit well endowed
Rest here your breaking heart
We know you gave your all
Rest easy you have done your part
You've answered your last call
Rest knowing that in God we sought
Oh Lord, watch over another who just fell
Rest assured your troubled thought
As we ring the final bell.
