In honour of Emergency Preparedness Week (May 6-12, 2018), we'd like the Rosetown community to become more aware of their personality responsibility to be prepared in the event of an emergency. Ask yourself these questions:
- Do you and your family have an emergency plan?
- Could you be self-sufficient for 72 hours?
- Do you have an emergency kit?
- Have you talked about emergency planning with your kids?
- Do you know the risks/hazards present in our area?
- Have you downloaded the SaskAlert app to your mobile phone?
The Town of Rosetown and surrounding communities have an active Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) called the Rosetown and District EMO. The group meets monthly and plan a coordinated response to a severe emergency incident with the help of our regional emergency services.
