Residential garbage pick-up will switch to front-street collection beginning April 23, 2018 until further notice. The change from back-alley to front-street pick-up is made annually in the spring to prevent damage to the back-alleys.

Organics/compost collection begins May 1, 2018 (Red Zone, north of 6th avenue) and May 8, 2018 (Blue Zone, south of 6th avenue) and is in place for (6) months of the year until October, weather-permitting. Collection takes place every two weeks.

The Rosetown landfill is accessible from Highway 4, approximately 2 kilometers south of the intersection of Highways 4 and 7, turn east at the landfill sign.
The Rosetown Transfer Station is located at the site of the Landfill. It is accessible from Highway 4, approximately 2 kilometers south of the intersection of Highways 4 and 7, turn east at the landfill sign. The Rosetown Transfer Station will be in late 2018.
The Landfill is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m., closed on statutory holidays.

Effective October 1, 2018, the landfill will accept demolition materials or shingles. The demolition pit will accept construction, renovation and demolition material, including shingles and concrete. All other loads must be sorted. Access to the demolition pit is dependent on a dry weather road.
